Compliance Certificates and Real Property Reports

Compliance Certificates

A Compliance Certificate is an official document from the Town stating that a property is, or is not, in compliance with the current Land Use Bylaw. The registered landowner or a person with a legal or equitable interest in a site, may apply for a Compliance Certificate upon payment of the fee specified in Schedule “C” of the annual Fees Bylaw.

Real Property Reports

A Real Property Report is a document provided by a Registered Alberta Land Surveyor that details the exact boundaries of a parcel, the location and the dimensions of any building(s) on the parcel. The applicant of a Compliance Certificate must submit an original Real Property Report for the parcel, that is stamped by a Registered Alberta Land Surveyor. Any original Real Property Report that is dated for a period of more than 90 days from the date of application must be submitted with a Statutory Declaration.

Note: The Compliance Certificate will only include an assessment of  building(s) or part thereof, shown on the Real Property Report as provided by the applicant.
