Town Council passes an annual Capital and Interim Operating Budget for the following year in December. A Final Operating Budget, based on the Interim Operating Budget plus any new initiatives or changes Council approves since December, is approved in April of the budget year. The Final Operating Budget determines the tax rates for the Town. In 2025, the Town of High Level released the first Budget Book in the municipality's history.
